2011 GIANT BOOK FAIR
The Giant Book Fair is a project
of the Rotary Club of Galston. It is one of the major fund
raising activities for the club, with the funds raised being
used to support many worthy causes and local community needs.
In 2009 the Book Fair raised
over $27,000 for community and Rotary projects such as the
Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal, Galston High School and the
Rotary Mental Health Research Foundation, amongst many others.
The organisers of the Giant
Book Fair would like to thank the public for their generous
donations.
This year’s Book Fair will be held at the Dural Memorial Hall,
604 Old Northern Road Dural (near Vinneys Lane / Redfield College) on
A clearance
sale starts at 3pm on the Sunday.
Once again it will be a huge
event with 50,000+ books including special ones.
As usual
there will be The Collectors’ Corner as well as a pre-1950s
section, with books going back to the 1800s, both of which are
always busy places to browse for that special bargain.
Altogether there are over 50 easy to find categories of books,
including the children’s room, all at bargain prices. In
addition to books there are lots of quality games and jigsaws
and hundreds of records, CDs and DVDs.
The Rotary Club of
Galston once again is asking for donations of books,
records, CDs, DVDs, games, jigsaws, and
instructional magazines (no 78 RPM records or audio
cassette or video tapes please).
